questions from you!

i figured it would be best to just put all this in a blog because i've been getting a lot of questions from people about various things, so here we go!

- yes, i am still going to the gym.  i go in the morning (5am!) 4-5 days a week.  i usually take sundays and tuesdays off though.  not a big change in weight (i have lost some), but i am losing inches.  my body is weird.

- the crafting is going remarkably well.  so well in fact that i decided to open an etsy store.  i'm just hoping it takes off, the extra money could really come in handy. 

- going along with the crafting, yes i will make you something.  but not for free (unless you're super special).  right now i'm asking that you either 1. buy the yarn needed 2. donate a michaels gift card to me or 3. pay a flat fee.  i dont work for free folks!  and its not really fair to assume that i'll just make you something for free, talk about taking advantage!

- and yes...my christmas tree is still up, thanks for noticing, hahaha.

workin' it!

today marked my first workout at the gym since buying my membership at the end of december.

i have to say, i was slightly anxious/nervous about starting this journey.  mostly because i'm going at it alone.  i tried to find a workout buddy, but that didn't really pan out so well.  so after work, i ducked into the bathroom, changed into my gym clothes and headed out planet fitness.

by the time i got there (damn traffic!) it was already 4:30 and the gym was packed!  luckily i was able to find a bike and just stuck with that.  i didn't want to overdo it on my first trip in, plus all the treadmills were taken and i dont know how to properly use any of the weight machines (yet!). 

so i fiddled with the settings and found the program i wanted, input the information it asked for (weight, time, etc.) and went at it.



45 minutes later i was sweating my ass off and my legs were burning!  but it felt great!  and im not going to focus on what the machine said i burned, because i think those calculations are off! 

i had to head out after that because i needed to pick up the sidekick from his after school program.  but i think i will check the gym out in the morning and see how the crowd is at that time.  going after work felt kind of rushed and it was super crowded.  we'll see what feels better.
