in the past week, i have sent out 3, yes THREE!, handwritten letters!!!
its sad that this isn't really practiced anymore. truly a lost art, in my opinion. all those hours and years of practicing handwriting/cursive, punctuation, correct letter formation, etc. and for what? for everything to go to hell in a handbasket. have you seen most text messages from 13-19 year olds? holy jesus. i need a dictionary and a translation guide just to know what the hell they're talking about!
i'm sure they think its super cuper cool to shorten words, abbreviate, etc. but its there really a need for that anymore? back in the day (god im getting old) doing things like this was necessary. remember when you only got 50 text messages a month with your plan? and you would use them for emergency situations only? or maybe you saved all 50 for a really bad breakup......(guilty as charged). phones were also different back then, screens were way smaller and we had to get the most information in the smallest amount of space. like what? maybe 100 characters?
there is no need for this anymore kids!!! start spelling your words correctly, stop coming up with "new" ways to spell words, because really you just look stupid and you make all us adults question your education and the public school system in general.
/rant.
so back to what i was saying. hand-written letters. yes yes.
everything these days is about technology! and as much as i love the random email or text (readable text!). i like nothing more than getting snail-mail. especially handwritten letters, cute cards and adorable postcards.
remember when we were kids and we used to seek out pen-pals?
any 3rd grader
any elementary school
any city/state in the u.s.a.
i used to love having pen-pals. i really wish i could remember some of their names. it'd be fantastic to get back in touch with them. i had one pen-pal that i stayed in contact with from about 3rd grade until 5th or 6th grade. so much fun!
so did you have a pen-pal?
do you still send out hand-written letters, cards and notes? or are you strictly technology based these days?

questions from you!
i figured it would be best to just put all this in a blog because i've been getting a lot of questions from people about various things, so here we go!
- yes, i am still going to the gym. i go in the morning (5am!) 4-5 days a week. i usually take sundays and tuesdays off though. not a big change in weight (i have lost some), but i am losing inches. my body is weird.
- the crafting is going remarkably well. so well in fact that i decided to open an etsy store. i'm just hoping it takes off, the extra money could really come in handy.
- going along with the crafting, yes i will make you something. but not for free (unless you're super special). right now i'm asking that you either 1. buy the yarn needed 2. donate a michaels gift card to me or 3. pay a flat fee. i dont work for free folks! and its not really fair to assume that i'll just make you something for free, talk about taking advantage!
- check back tomorrow for this weeks edition of TILT!
- and yes...my christmas tree is still up, thanks for noticing, hahaha.
stay tuned for more news on, pretty cozy things. pictures and information to be posted within the next week.

its....alive!
yes, i am alive and i feel awful for missing my updates last week but between work, the gym, spending time with the sidekick and being a crafty little bitch, i have had no time or desire to update.
i will be sure to post a TILT entry today since i missed last week.
i also need to add some pictures of my latest creations.
be patient my dears.

helping to put the sans in comic sans.
today i let the world (okay, just facebook friends) know exactly how i felt about a certain font.....
comic sans........
apparently i am not alone in my hatred for this font and its overuse. but really, its just ugly! i spent a good year and a half being tortured with typography while getting my degree...i mean diploma..in graphic design. anyway, the one thing i took away from my time in school was a better understanding of fonts and when its appropriate to use certain ones. i'll stop right there though, because apparently some people get really upset when i pick on their font of choice (ms. moore - i'm sorry you're font challenged hahaha i still love you).
and for a good laugh, check out this website: ban comic sans!

3 bits of humpday randomness
1.
while leaving work this afternoon, i found myself staring down at my feet and saying to myself "step on a crack, break you mothers back" while carefully maneuvering myself over each crack. i'm still trying to decide if this is major ocd or i had a slight flashback and forgot that i'm 27...not 7.
2.
my car horn is mean! like seriously...you know how some peoples horns just do a little beep. subtle, calm, enough to get the persons attention. oh no, not mine. mine is seriously the asshole of all horns. i feel bad even pushing it sometimes. and then people give me dirty looks. look, im sorry my car is a jerk and yells at you when the horn is honked. its not my fault!
and
3.
